On October 10th we drove six hours to St. Louis to see the San Francisco 49ERS(3-1) battle the St. Louis Rams(3-0). I expected a good fight from them because Steve Young (the 49ERS starting QB) was out with a concussion. In his place was Jeff Garcia, an excellent QB but lacking Steve's experience. The Rams were glowing from starting their season 3-0 for the first time in a VERY long time. Kurt Warner had been playing really great football and he continued that trend on that day, completing 4 touchdown passes to Isaac Bruce. The 49ERS got beat 42-20 but I still had a really good time and for the most part the fans were friendly. Considering they had not beaten the 49ers in 17 straight games I guess they had one coming.
